Online Therapy in Massachusetts

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and I see clients across Massachusetts by secure video. If you are in Massachusetts, you can work with me from home, from your office, or from anywhere you can close a door for an hour.

I work with adults on anxiety, OCD, depression, life transitions, and couples.

Who I see in Massachusetts

Anywhere in the state — including Boston, Worcester, Springfield, Cambridge, Somerville, Lowell, Newton, Brookline, and the Cape. Because sessions are online, where you live within Massachusetts does not matter. What matters is that you are physically located in Massachusetts at the time of your session, which is how counseling licensure works.

Why people choose online

  • Access to specialized care. Waitlists at Boston-area practices can run months. Working with a therapist licensed in the state but based elsewhere often means starting sooner.
  • No commute. An hour of therapy costs you an hour, not an hour plus traffic.
  • Continuity. If you travel for work or move within the state, your therapy does not restart.
  • Privacy. No waiting room, and no running into someone you know.

How online sessions work

Sessions are held on a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You get a link, you click it at your appointment time, and that is the whole technical requirement. You need a private space, a reliable connection, and headphones if other people are home.

In my experience online therapy is just as effective as in-person for the things I treat, and the research supports that. Exposure work for OCD can actually be better online, because we can do it in the environment where the symptoms actually happen — your own kitchen, your own front door.

Licensing

I hold an active counseling license in Massachusetts, as well as in Florida, North Carolina, Massachusetts, and Washington.

Fees and insurance

I am a private-pay practice and do not bill insurance for new clients. That keeps treatment decisions between the two of us rather than requiring a diagnosis on file with an insurer, and it means no session limits imposed from outside. I can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement if your plan offers it. Details are on the Getting Started page.

Hours

Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm Eastern. If you are in a different time zone, we will find something that works.

Getting started

I offer a free 15-minute consultation. It is a conversation, not an intake — a chance to describe what is going on and ask whether I am the right person for it.
